Getting Started

How do I get started? Start with a consultation so we can confirm fit, clarify your goals, and recommend the right level of care (weekly sessions vs. an intensive, or another referral if needed).

Do you offer in-person or telehealth? We offer telehealth and select in-person options depending on clinician and service.

What are your hours? Are you available nights/weekends?Availability varies by clinician soem offer evenings and weekends. Intensives may include expanded scheduling by appointment.

How does it work? What do I have to do in sessions? Sessions are tailored to your goals and what you need most right now. We’ll clarify targets, identify what’s maintaining the problem, and agree on a plan—including what we’ll work on in session and what you’ll practice between sessions. We’re data-driven, so we may use brief measures and check-ins to track progress and adjust quickly. Expect a mix of assessment, skill-building, processing, and concrete next steps so therapy translates into real change outside the room.

What happens in the first session? We start with assessment and goal-setting. You’ll leave with more clarity on what’s going on, what we’re prioritizing, and a plan for next steps.

How often will I be seen? Most clients start weekly or every other week. Some benefit from intensive blocks depending on acuity, timeline, or complexity.

Money, Paperwork, and Insurance

Do you take insurance? We do not accept insurance at this time. Many of our services are delivered in intensive formats, which often fall outside what insurers reimburse. Some clients pursue out-of-network reimbursement using superbills.

Do you offer superbills? Yes, when appropriate. Reimbursement depends on your specific plan and insurer.

Do you offer sliding scale? We offer limited sliding-scale availability, and our clinicians have a range of self-pay rates based on experience and specialty. Reach out and we’ll work with you to find the best-fit option for your financial situation—we know the economy is rough right now.

What are your rates? Rates vary by clinician and service. Non sliding scale 60-minute sessions start at $175.

How are forms handled? Client forms are completed and processed securely through our internal EHR system once your first appointment is scheduled.

Services and Session Formats

Do you offer intensives? Yes. Intensive sessions are extended, focused therapy blocks designed for more expeditious progress than weekly sessions. They’re a strong fit for high-acuity couples/family work, major transitions, and long or chronic trauma histories.

Do you offer couples therapy in intensives? Yes—couples sessions are available in 60-minute appointments and extended multi-hour intensives.

Do you offer discernment counseling? Yes. Discernment counseling is a structured approach to help couples gain clarity on whether repair is realistic or whether separation is the healthiest next step.

Do you offer family or co-parenting counseling? Yes—family systems work, generational household dynamics, and co-parenting counseling are available.

Do you offer group therapy? When groups are running, they are therapist-led, structured, and skills-based. Availability varies.

Medication, Ketamine, and Coordination of Care

Do you prescribe medication? No. We do not prescribe medication. We do not prescribe psychedelics.

Do you coordinate with prescribers? Yes. If medication support is appropriate, we can collaborate with your current prescriber (PCP/OBGYN/psychiatrist) or connect you with our referral network for medication management so your medical and behavioral health teams can work hand-in-hand.

Why shouldn’t I just take medication? Medication can be helpful and sometimes essential—it often reduces symptoms enough to function and engage in life. But medication alone usually doesn’t change the underlying patterns, triggers, behaviors, or relationship dynamics that keep problems going. Therapy helps you build skills, process what needs to be processed, and create durable change aligned with your goals.

Do you offer ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) or integration? We provide KAP-informed therapy, including preparation and integration, and can coordinate with medical providers when applicable. We also offer support for clients preparing for psychedelic experiences and those integrating challenging experiences. We do not prescribe psychedelics.

What to Expect and How to Get Results

Do you give homework? Often, yes—because change happens between sessions. Expect skill practice, tracking, and accountability.

How do you measure progress? We’re data-driven: brief check-ins and/or standardized measures may be used to track outcomes and adjust treatment quickly.

I want to get the most out of therapy. What can I do to help? Bring a learning mindset, honesty, and accountability. Show up consistently, practice skills between sessions, track what’s working (and what isn’t), and tell us the truth so we can adjust fast. Results come from willingness to lean in and follow through.

How long will it take? It depends on your goals, complexity, and follow-through. Many therapy models estimate a focused issue often takes around ~6-12 sessions, per issue, to make meaningful progress, but that’s a guideline—not a guarantee. Some clients feel traction quickly; others—especially with long-standing patterns, trauma histories, or multiple stressors—benefit from longer work. We’ll recommend a cadence (weekly, biweekly, or intensives) and reassess progress as we go.

And let’s be real—life doesn’t pause during therapy, so some sessions will focus on what happened this week to stabilize and keep you moving forward.

Therapy vs. Other Support

What’s the difference between talking to you vs. my best friend or family? Friends and family can care about you—but they aren’t trained to assess patterns, treat symptoms, or guide change in a structured way. Therapy offers a licensed professional who can teach skills, provide an objective clinical perspective, and help you make measurable progress. It’s also confidential, which protects your privacy and your relationships—so you’re not relying on loved ones to carry the hardest parts of your experience.

I’m used to handling things on my own. Aren’t people who go to therapy weak? Not at all. Therapy is a strength move—knowing when to get support and choosing to build skills instead of staying stuck. We’ll identify your strengths and use them to reduce the impact of what you’re facing and move forward with clarity and follow-through.

Scheduling, Cancellations, and No-Shows

To honor our clinicians’ time and protect appointment availability, sessions cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled start time—and no-shows—are charged the full session fee.

Safety and Crisis Policy

Do you provide 24/7 crisis support? No. We are not a crisis stabilization provider and we are not available 24/7. If you are in crisis or concerned about your safety, call 988 or go to the nearest emergency room.
